“I have over 25 years of experience in the cheer and dance industry. I founded Golden State Spirit Association, Aloha Spirit Productions, acquired Mid-Atlantic Championships and now direct The Spirit Network, including The Spirit Royale and Spirit Championship brands.
I cheered at Fresno State University, coached at Oregon State University and in the CBA, and have also coached at the high school and all-star levels.
In college, I instructed for United Spirit Association and professionally have served on many USASF Committees and was inducted into the USASF Hall of Fame for my contributions to the early formation of the organization.
I bring many layers of experience to navigating the college recruiting and tryout process both as a coach and as a parent. My best experience was going through the process with my own daughter who globed at the World Championships with her team and then cheered at a major university. Also, guiding my son who is currently a collegiate golfer. I have walked your path both as an athlete and a parent and will offer insight that is supportive and real-life experience.
I live in Corvallis, Oregon with my two English Bulldogs, Nelly and Poppy, and I am the President of the Leah (24) and Nick (22) Van Vleet Fan Clubs. When I’m not working with JH Girls and Guys, I’m producing a cheerleading event somewhere around the world, teaching or taking a spin class, or relaxing on a beach. I look forward to getting to know you and I’m excited for your journey ahead.”
