WHAT IS BRIGHT FUTURES?

A 60:00 minute personal advising session for younger athletes (pre 9th grade) and their families to discover what is possible in collegiate athletics and how to begin the recruiting process early to maximize their chances of earning a college scholarship. Parents can meet with or without their athlete.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

  • Level 7 & 8 gymnasts

  • Level 9’s in 6th-8th grade

  • NGA athletes

  • Xcel Diamond athletes

  • Parents and club coaches

Bright Futures introduces younger athletes in 6th - 8th grades and their families to the college recruiting process early, helping them build a strong foundation for future academic and athletic opportunities.

Through personalized guidance from a JHC advisor, families receive valuable insight into the recruiting process, collegiate athletic pathways, and the steps athletes can begin taking early to support future recruiting success.

The program includes:

  • One 60-minute personal advising session

  • Guidance tailored to the athlete and family’s current stage of development

  • Two recruiting resource PDFs provided following the session

During the session, athletes and families gain a clearer understanding of:

  • Collegiate athletic opportunities and pathways

  • The recruiting timeline and overall process

  • Early recruiting preparation and strategy

  • Ways to strengthen future recruiting potential and exposure
